MORE field trip

MORE PHOTOS! That's why you really come to this blog anyway, right?

The kids were pretty tired by the time we did the barn portion of the trip

The kids also got to go to the duck pond but between the bloody nose and shoe that fell in the pond I don't have any pictures
Here the kids actually got to feed the goats! It was kind of scary for them at first...

Inside the barn they got to plant a necklace with wheat in it- called a "living medallion"

Tractor drawn hay ride

This shows how heavy buckets of grain were

Demo of how milk gets to your home

Here's some awesome journals from the next day:

Thanksgiving Point field trip

This was a pretty exhausting and entertaining trip. I took a massive amount of photos (mostly of the kids in my chaperone group), so here we go....

This museum is totally 5 senses learning approved! The kids LOVED it and I enjoy it every time too.

MOM's day

Here's our mother's day gifts:
I hope none of the mothers take offense if their grass didn't grow so well.

lARge yARn ARt

I came up with this fabulous activity to help the students remember the "ar" sound and spelling. The kids love saying it with a pirate accent :-) They got to choose a cAR, fARm, shARk or stAR and outline it with yARn.
Ms. G was a big help on this tricky art project.

The kids worked hard but some of them ran out of time to finish.
Next time maybe we should do this the same week as the Glow in the DARk pARty...
