EeEexercise day!

Today the students got to take turns selecting an envelope.
If it had a picture that began with the /e/ sound, they got to exercise!
Here's the text we worked with. It is from SEEL AKA one of my favorite websites!
Also, for the entire day the kids called me Mrs. Exercise and everyone got a new name that started with E. That was a big hit!

Letter O

OHHH the letter O is such a tough one.... it's a vowel and not many words actually start with the short /o/ sound. But here's what we came up with:  we watched videos on otter, ostriches, and octopuses. Then we ate olives
They actually look kinda scary so I don't blame the 4 students who chose not to eat them
28 students divided by 8 legs per octopus... = NOT  a whole number
We talked about otters, octopus and ostriches.
It took some serious patience to make these....

If we had more time we would have played the "on off" game and opposite games

Hh Hat day!

HHHere are some things we did on HHHHat day:
 We hung up our hats
We put our hats on our hair
I hit my hat with a hammer

 We hopped with our hats

Other things you can do with your hat: hide your hat, hug your hat. What else can you think of?

We also made these houses in honor of Hh activities.

The fire station

We are so lucky to be able to walk down the street to visit the fire station! We are learning about safety and the kids loved this opportunity to visit the Provo fire station.
