Journal entry of the year!

This WONDERFUL student worked so hard on their letter sounds and their picture that I couldn't help but snap a picture. The way the stick figure holds the turkey is SO cute! Way to go mystery student!!!

Lucky for us, the music teacher (Miss Gardner) has a real xylophone and she played it for us! Then we played Seat eXchange where you exchange seats when your number is called and if you don't exchange seats, you're it. During centers we made fox headbands and origami boxes. What a day!

More Halloween

The absolute BEST part about this song is the creepy eyes. Enjoy:
Here's the lyrics so your kids can continue to practice and "creep you out"
Also, every year I try to scare my students with this book and it never works.... until this year!!! OH I was really so happy to see them jump at the last page. I think my 4 years of practice and turning out the lights and using a flashlight really helped.

Halloween!

This is THE holiday everyone looks forward to celebrating at school. The funny thing is that after our class party a student came up to me and said "Mrs. Lee, when are we going to have our party?" We just HAD the party that took hours of planning, but I guess it wasn't wild enough. The party must have appeared too much like a normal day, but when I look at these pictures it doesn't look very normal...

Ll

L is for light. We used toothpicks to poke holes in the letter L and put a flashlight behind it.
We also played a listening game where I chose a student to be blindfolded and he/she had to guess who was saying this: Larry lost his lobster
